SONG feels that it is important to have a blog because:
- Too often Lesbian/Gay/Bi/Trans folks, people of color, immigrants, rural folk, youth, and low-income folks working for liberation are isolated from each other and isolated from resources we need to organize
- We need to show love and document our community life and building together
- We want a discussion forum for folks to discuss anything and everything under the Sun that comes up when you are working for liberation
- We want to share tools, writings, art, interviews, shout outs, musings, journal entries, and our learnings with whoever might find it helpful
- We want folks to be able to FIND us on the web and learn about our work when they want to and need to
- We feel that too often organizing work is not documented and we all suffer from not knowing how things go down
PLEASE email Southernersonnewground@gmail.com if you want to put stuff on this blog–any and all of the above! We would love to hear from you!

This blog is like an elegant green web-sign saying “welcome home!” I love it. Thank you for being sure to document this growing love movement.
